Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Tax Manager-Sr Tax manager to lead our tax practice strategy, return prep, compliance, and planning initiatives. This role would grow into a ownership postion. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex tax operations, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and provide expert guidance on a broad spectrum of tax issues.
Duties
- Lead the preparation and review of corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns with precision and compliance in accordance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies, including estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, and investment structuring to maximize fiscal efficiency.
- Oversee tax compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while managing audits and resolving disputes effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting, ensuring accurate tax reporting aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
- Stay current on evolving tax laws related to estate planning, wills & trusts law, corporate accounting, private equity, and non-profit accounting to proactively address potential impacts on the organization.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in tax accounting with a strong background in corporate tax expertise, individual tax, and public accounting environments.
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration; ability to explain technical tax concepts clearly.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
