Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Contracts Manager to lead our organization’s contract lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance, strategic alignment, and risk mitigation across all procurement and contractual activities. Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of contracts including vendor agreements, government contracts, grants, and procurement documents.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and organizational standards.
- Oversee document management systems to maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and related correspondence.
- Ensure all contractual activities adhere to applicable regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and other procurement policies.
- Collaborate with legal teams on intellectual property law issues, legal drafting, and risk assessment for complex agreements.
- Conduct thorough contract reviews to identify potential risks or compliance issues; implement change management strategies as needed.
- Utilize platforms like Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or similar tools for contract lifecycle management and electronic signatures.
- Support business development efforts through proposal writing, pricing strategies, and strategic planning for new opportunities.
- Manage grant projects by overseeing grant management processes in accordance with federal regulations and ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain rigorous records management practices to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance across all procurement activities.
Experience
- Extensive experience in government contract management or public sector purchasing with a strong understanding of procurement regulatory frameworks including FAR.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation, legal drafting, and vendor management within a complex organizational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in document review, change management processes, and compliance monitoring.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or equivalent enterprise resource planning platforms; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is advantageous.
- Strong research skills combined with excellent technical writing abilities for proposal development and contractual documentation.
- Prior experience managing grants or federal funding projects with an emphasis on grant project management practices.
- Knowledge of UCC law related to commercial transactions and contractor management best practices.
- Exceptional negotiation skills paired with strategic planning capabilities to advance organizational objectives effectively.
