Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Assistant Team Coordinator provides operation and programmatic leadership for the UF Child Advocacy Center programs including Child Protection (DOH CPT), Victim of Crimes Act (VOCA), National Advocacy Center (NCA or FNCAC – Florida Network), and other associated programs. Reporting to the Associate Director, Health Care Administration, this role ensures program quality, staff training and continuity of operations. The Manager oversees Division-wide training initiatives, monitors clinical and administrative quality standards and serves as backup for key roles across the team during staff shortages, leave, or high-demand periods. This position maintains high standards of clinical practice, operational efficiency and compliance with all grants, contracts, and regulatory requirements while supporting the effective delivery of client services. This position also serves as an expert in the arena of child abuse and prevention.

Interviews children, family members and significant others as needed to obtain medical and psychosocial information and completes assessments and provides protective investigators within the time-frame consistent with program requirements and best practices. Coordinates client services and referrals to community agencies.
Arranges, conducts and attends staffing meetings and participates in the development of recommendations. Provides deposition and court testimony as required. Review daily mandatory abuse reports. Participates in 24-hour rotation and backup on-call, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Oversee scheduling and case assignments to ensure timely services and equal distribution of work. Supervises intake coordinators, senior case coordinators, and case coordinators to ensure compliance with statutory mandates. Completes staff performance evaluations for direct reports. regular1y attends MDT, HT, and Medical Neglect staffing’s.

Ensure that documentation and reports are completed in a professional and timely manner. Directly assists with casework as needed and provides support with in-crisis or problem cases. Review workflows and identify areas for improvement within case work. Provides training to direct service staff. Assists with and provides Community training and outreach initiatives. Evaluates training delivery and materials and works to improve onboarding and recurring training initiatives.

$72,000 -$82,000 depending on education and experience

Completion and certification in American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children Forensic Interviewing Training within one year of employment. Twenty (20) hours continuing education is required per year during employment in this job.

Valid Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle required.

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Nursing or another behavioral science.

Five years of experience working with children and families.

It is strongly preferred that applicants have skills in generating psychosocial reports, public speaking, networking with the community of law enforcement, DCF and victim serving agencies and be able to multi-task regarding scheduling and dealing with emergency crisis situations.

This is a time-limited position. Time limited positions are based on circumstances, such as funding sources, which control the length of time for which the position is available.

Level II DCF Background Check is Required.
