Title: Impact & Responsible Sourcing Manager
Classification: Exempt
Salary Range*: $115,000 – $120,000
Location: Van Nuys, CA
Schedule*: Hybrid, Monday through Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM (in office a minimum of 2 days/week).
Position Summary
DÔEN is seeking an Impact & Responsible Sourcing Manager to support the day-to-day execution of our responsible sourcing, social compliance, supply chain risk, and regulatory readiness programs.
Reporting to the Vice President of Impact & Responsible Sourcing, this role will help maintain the systems, data, and processes that enable DÔEN to identify and manage risk across its global value chain and prepare for evolving regulatory requirements.
The role will focus on Social Compliance & Supply Chain Risk and Regulatory Readiness & Public Policy, with additional support for Supply Chain Traceability. The ideal candidate combines experience in social compliance or human rights due diligence with strong research, analytical, and project management skills and an interest in the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape affecting the apparel industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Compliance, Human Rights & Supply Chain Risk
- Support the day-to-day management of DÔEN’s social compliance and human rights due diligence program across the global supply chain.
- Maintain DÔEN’s social compliance dashboard and ensure supplier, facility, audit, corrective action, and risk data remain accurate and current.
- Support the administration and ongoing development of Elm AI as a central tool for social compliance monitoring and supply chain risk management.
- Review social compliance audits and related documentation, identify areas of non-compliance or elevated risk, and escalate material findings as appropriate.
- Track Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) from identification through closure, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely remediation and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Monitor suppliers, sourcing regions, and sub-tiers for emerging forced labor, human rights, worker welfare, geopolitical, and other responsible sourcing risks.
- Support human rights due diligence activities, including enhanced due diligence for higher-risk suppliers, sourcing regions, materials, and production processes.
- Maintain risk classifications and supplier-level responsible sourcing KPIs to support consistent evaluation across the supplier portfolio.
- Analyze and synthesize responsible sourcing data alongside broader business and operational KPIs to identify areas of enterprise supplier risk.
- Prepare recurring reporting and risk assessments that provide visibility into supplier performance, emerging risks, remediation progress, and areas requiring management attention.
- Support supplier engagement and capability-building initiatives designed to strengthen compliance and drive continuous improvement.
2. Regulatory Readiness & Public Policy
- Maintain DÔEN’s legislative and regulatory tracker, ensuring developments are accurately captured, categorized, and updated.
- Monitor evolving legislation and regulatory requirements across DÔEN’s key operating and selling markets, with particular attention to human rights due diligence, forced labor, supply chain transparency, sustainability claims and disclosures, product and packaging requirements, and environmental regulation.
- Conduct research to assess applicability, timing, potential business impact, and implementation requirements of emerging regulations.
- Translate regulatory developments into clear summaries, business implications, and recommended next steps for internal stakeholders.
- Support regulatory gap assessments to identify differences between current business practices and future compliance requirements.
- Partner with relevant functions—including Supply Chain, Product, Legal, Finance, Operations, People, and Marketing— to collect information and support implementation of compliance workstreams.
- Maintain project plans, documentation, and evidence required to demonstrate regulatory readiness and support future reporting or disclosure requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal policies, SOPs, training materials, and other governance tools required for regulatory compliance.
- Prepare recurring regulatory updates and risk reporting for Impact leadership and relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
3. Supply Chain Traceability
- Support supplier onboarding, data collection, and ongoing data quality within DÔEN’s traceability systems.
- Assist with mapping suppliers and production processes beyond Tier 1 and identifying gaps in value-chain visibility.
- Support collection and validation of supplier, facility, material, certification, and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Partner with internal teams and suppliers to resolve missing or inconsistent traceability information.
- Support traceability data needs associated with regulatory compliance, forced labor due diligence, sustainability reporting, and other responsible sourcing initiatives.
- Contribute to special traceability projects and emerging regulatory requirements as the program evolves.
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain accurate and accessible data across Impact & Responsible Sourcing systems and dashboards.
- Develop recurring reporting that synthesizes social compliance, human rights, regulatory, traceability, and relevant supplier performance indicators.
- Identify trends and emerging areas of risk and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Support preparation of reporting for senior leadership, cross-functional business reviews, and external disclosures as needed.
- Track progress against departmental KPIs, regulatory milestones, remediation plans, and responsible sourcing objectives.
Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for suppliers on social compliance documentation, CAP follow-up, traceability requests, and other responsible sourcing requirements.
- Build effective working relationships with Supply Chain, Product, Production, Legal, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders.
- Help translate Impact & Responsible Sourcing requirements into clear, practical actions for business teams and suppliers.
- Escalate material risks, recurring non-compliance, missed deadlines, and other issues requiring management intervention.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 4–6+ years of relevant experience, with demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and communicate risk and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with social compliance programs, factory audits, corrective action management, or human rights due diligence strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with forced labor risk, international labor standards, responsible sourcing frameworks, and global apparel supply chains.
- Experience researching or monitoring legislation, public policy, regulatory requirements, or corporate compliance obligations strongly preferred.
- Experience with supply chain traceability, supplier mapping, sustainability data, or traceability technology is a plus.
- Experience in apparel, fashion, consumer products, retail, or another global supply-chain-driven industry preferred.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into clear risk assessments and recommendations. Advanced to intermediate Excel skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain complex trackers, dashboards, documentation, and concurrent workstreams.
- Strong research skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory or policy developments and translate them into practical business implications.
- Comfortable working with data and identifying patterns, gaps, emerging risk indicators, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated follow-through and ability to drive open items to resolution across suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a growing function where priorities and regulatory requirements continue to evolve.
- Strong judgment regarding when to independently resolve an issue and when to escalate material business or compliance risk.
