Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Contracts to lead our organization’s contract strategy and operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust contracts and procurement functions that align with our overall business objectives and drive value across the organization. The Director of Contracts is responsible for the management and execution of commercial and military ship repair purchases, subcontracts, and contracts up to $100M in value. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with full responsibility for the successful outcome of every transaction.
The Director of Contracts must be an excellent communicator and leader to establish and maintain working relationships with different stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, vendors, owners, managers, estimators, engineers, supervisors, and production workers. Experience and knowledge of government contracts, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) is preferred. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, maximizing opportunities, and driving successful contract execution.
